(The Post News)- Reality stars Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner are pursuing a lawsuit against Ray J, alleging that the 44-year-old musician has been harassing and defaming them for years.
The legal action is a reaction to his most recent and persistent assertions that the family of Kardashian-Jenners is being investigated by the US authorities for corruption, which they vigorously reject. According to TMZ, Ray J has found it difficult to embark on past his brief affair with Kim Kardashian, which stopped more than 20 years ago, according to the couple’s lawyer, Alex Spiro. According to Spiro, Ray J’s ongoing assaults on the family have been motivated by his refusal to let go.
Ray J’s comments during the TMZ and Tubi film United States vs. Sean Combs are especially targeted in the case. The family claims that Ray J’s remark in the movie that he was unlikely to be shocked if the Kardashians got accused of conspiracy was intended to “sow a seed” of suspicion concerning their moral fiber.
They contend that Ray J made these allegations more intense on September 24 when he allegedly falsely claimed that the Kardashian family was the subject of a federal investigation in a broadcast with Chrisean Rock. “There is little that I can do to stop the federal agents from arriving.” He claimed throughout the show that it was bigger than Diddy.
The significance of the allegations was highlighted by Kardashian and Jenner’s law team, who stressed that it was the first time any of them had brought a claim for defamation.
Ray J Previously Vowed to Sue
In the past, Ray J has vowed to take his own lawsuits. He claimed Jenner was deceptive in 2022 when she refuted assisting in the distribution of Kardashian’s notorious 2007 sex videotape after an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Ray J said he will file a slander lawsuit at that point in time.
Additionally, he revived accusations against their mother, Sonja Norwood, and sister, singer Brandy. In reference to a 2008 lawsuit filed by Sonja Norwood alleging that Kim and her siblings unlawfully spent more than $120,000 on an American Express card that belonged to the Norwoods, he blamed Kardashian and Jenner for having “stolen all that cash” from the Norwood family. In 2009, this matter was resolved outside the court.
Now that legal action has begun, the Kardashian-Jenner family seems resolved to address what they see as an ongoing defamation campaign and keep Ray J responsible for what they see as hurtful and unfounded allegations.
