(The Post News)- On Sunday, 26 August 2024, four bodies were discovered inside the truck burned beyond recognition in Tshiyame B, Khalalanyoni, in the Free State. It is alleged that a passer-by alerted the police about the incident that transpired at the Tshiyame B gravel road.
Upon the police’s arrival at the scene, the conduction of the preliminary investigations established that the truck belonged to a 35-year-old man who hails from Makwane in Qwaqwa.
According to the provincial police spokesman, Warrant Officer Mmako Mophiring, the man was on his way to Qwaqwa after fetching his wife (32) and three children aged 1, 8, and 10 years old.
Mophiring further indicated that out of five bodies, only four were recovered at the crime scene. The inquest case was opened for further investigations while the police are still searching for the fifth person.
