(The Post News)- Convicted serial killer Rosemary Ndlovu, dubbed the “killer cop” for her chilling crimes, was back in the dock at the Kempton Park Magistrate Court today, facing fresh charges of conspiracy to commit murder. Ndlovu, already serving six life sentences for the murders of six family members to claim insurance payouts, is now accused of plotting the murder of Justice Mudau, the ex-husband of her friend and co-accused, Nomsa Mudau, and Sergeant Keshi Mabunda, the diligent officer who investigated her killing spree.
The prosecution’s case hinges on the testimony of Jabulani Mtshali, a key witness who claims he was offered R75,000 to carry out the hit on Justice Mudau. According to ‘The Citizen’ Mtshali, testified in July that he received a call from Lakhiwe Mkhize, who asked him to meet with Mudau. Crucially, Mtshali revealed that Mudau had received Mkhize’s contact information from Rosemary Ndlovu.
Justice Mudau, speaking exclusively to Newsroom Afrika, expressed mixed emotions about the ongoing court process, noting that while it is proceeding smoothly, safety remains a concern as the suspect is still out on bail. He emphasised the importance of personal security and expressed a desire for the matter to be resolved quickly so that life can return to normal.
Ndlovu’s second charge is for allegedly plotting to kill Sergeant Keshi Mabunda, the very police officer who meticulously investigated the murders that led to her initial conviction. This alleged act of revenge, if proven true, speaks volumes about Ndlovu’s apparent lack of remorse and the depths of her alleged depravity.
Despite the intense interest and anticipation surrounding the trial, the case has been postponed to December 11, 2024. The postponement was granted to allow the defence additional time to review the evidence and prepare their case. The new charges of conspiracy to commit murder have added another layer of infamy to Ndlovu’s already notorious reputation.
