(The Post News)- MTN-8 Cup final is expected to Kickoff on Saturday of the 5th, October. The clash between the two will take place at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, Kwa Zulu Natal province.
The Premier Soccer League announced yesterday morning that tickets are available online and selected outlets. Four hours after the announcement, the Official Premiership Soccer League confirmed that tickets were sold out.
Orlando Pirates is known for taking Cup competitions serious. The last season it became victors of the Nedbank Cup and the MTN-8. However, Stellenbosch won the Carling Black Label Cup.
Network Citizens expressed their emotions about the upcoming game. Moeketsi Thamane replied on Official PSL blue app post, “If you’re big you’re big period. Some give free entrance if you’re wearing a certain color but still the stadium has 57 people”.
Sipho Gift Zangwa had this to say “Well done Stellenbotch FC fans, it’s record breaking for younger team supporters to buy tickets so quick.”
The social media reactions demonstrate how excited South Africans are about the game. Particularly after Stellenbosch defeated Mamelodi Sundowns, the PSL’s reigning champions, twice in every MTN-8 leg. Everyone is curious to see if a team this small could also defeat the reigning champions.
One online ticket purchasing system was the target of complaints from fans. They are exhausted after fighting to obtain a ticket. “We ought to have a stadium in Durban that can hold 100,000 people,” said Trevor Fuzelihle Mapholoba.
