(The Post News)- Manqoba Mngqithi, the coach of Mamelodi Sundowns, has praised Nasreddine Nabi’s efforts at Kaizer Chiefs and has identified three Amakhosi players who have so far pleased him. Both Masandawana and Amakhosi began the 2024–25 league season with two victories apiece, therefore this matchup is widely anticipated to take place at FNB Stadium on Saturday at 15:00.
When asked if Sundowns supporters might anticipate a score similar to that on Saturday, Mngqithi responded that Sundowns is going to be a difficult opponent and commended Nabi’s early work. Sundowns have scored four goals in three of their past four games.
“I believe that we should approach this game with a great deal of humility and respect. “It’s premature to assume that we have settled into a groove,” he responded at the news conference held prior to the game.
Chiefs have impressed with their start, their transitions, and their front-line players. Gaston Sirino and Ranga Chivaviro are two of their most significant players, and also to mention that the youthful Mduduzi Shabalala has established himself as a leader.
“We are heading to this encounter with full knowledge that it will be an entertaining match. The team we are playing against is excellent and has strong support. When you enter a match like this, you need to be a little humble,” said Mnqithi.
He stated that he also have to praise coach Nabi for his efforts with the team. The team appears extremely threatening very quickly. According to Stadium Management SA, only 44.000 of the approximately 60.000 tickets that were available have been sold thus far.
