A bus traveling to Juárez in Mexico crashed with a loose tractor-trailer, killing several passengers on board while injuring others on Saturday.

A bus transporting 25 passengers to Juárez collided with a loose tractor-trailer hauling grain on a highway near Zacatecas, central Mexico.
The crash claimed at least 19 lives and injured six more. This incident occurred over the weekend. According to the Zacatecas official report, the bus crashed into the back of the trailer, and the driver lost control and fell into a ravine.
Senior Zacatecas official Rodrigo Reyes, in a statement released following this horrific incident, said the local authorities and emergency services quickly responded upon hearing about the incident. Unfortunately, several people have lost their lives, however injured, and were rushed to nearby hospitals to receive medical attention.
The heartbreaking news served as a reminder of how important it is to bring more attention to the safety of Mexico’s transportation systems, and drivers should remain vigilant on the road and follow all road regulations in order to avoid tragedies like this.
