Coach Rassie Erasmus is tasked with filling the gaps left by tighthead prop Frans Malherbe and versatile back Damian Willemse, both of whom are sidelined for the tour. This situation poses a test for the depth and adaptability of South Africa’s rugby squad.
Frans Malherbe, a cornerstone of the Boks’ scrum, is set to be replaced by Thomas du Toit or Vincent Koch.
