In an interview with CNN news channel, Director General of World Health Organization (WHO) Tedors Ghebreyesus, says the health situation in Gaza remains dire. Health situation in Gaza has “deteriorated beyond words”. The DG joins others who calls to an end to the war. He says ceasefire at the moment is the solution in ending the Palestinian suffering.
“I reiterated our grave concern about a potential full-scale assault on Rafah, which would cause unimaginable suffering,” Ghebreyesus said in a social media post.
“I repeated our call for all parties to work for peace.” South Africa on Monday filed an urgent application to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to have the court to interdict Israel’s decision to expand its war to Rafah.
