Pay Up or Say Goodbye to Nkandla, Zuma. Julius Malema Moves to Attach Zuma’s Nkandla Over Unpaid Legal Fees
(The Post News)- Julius Malema, the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), has instructed the party’s lawyers to attach former President Jacob Zuma’s Nkandla residence over unpaid legal fees. Malema made this announcement during a rally outside the Constitutional Court in Johannesburg.
According to Malema, Zuma owes the EFF legal fees incurred during several court battles that the former president lost against the party. The feud between Malema and Zuma has been ongoing for years, rooted in court cases where the EFF challenged Zuma on matters ranging from corruption to state capture.
The EFF claims to have consistently emerged victorious in legal proceedings against Zuma, resulting in multiple court orders requiring him to cover the party’s legal costs. However, Zuma has allegedly failed to comply with these court orders, prompting Malema to take action.
Malema has vowed to pursue the matter until the EFF receives the money owed to them. “We will not play nice with people who are playing rough with us. The fight is on. The fight is about defending the soul of the EFF and the unity of the EFF,” he declared.
The legal battle between the EFF and Zuma is far from over, with Zuma yet to issue a formal response to Malema’s remarks.
