(The Post News)- Christmas draws near. The 25th of December is a date everyone remembers. But what about Prayer Day? The Motsepe Foundation is hosting their fourth annual Prayer Day.
The Motsepe Foundation held their first event in 2017 at the FNB stadium. More than 100,000 people attended and prayed for the nation. Their last Prayer Day was held just before the COVID-19 pandemic. And today, after five years, they invite people from different churches to gather once more for the nation.

This highlights the integral role of faith in public life and promotes a sense of community among diverse populations. India celebrates their National Prayer Day on the 2nd of October. This day is also the birthday of an inspirational figure in India, Mahatma Gandhi.
They use this day to honor his legacy of peace and non-violence. They are reminded of the spiritual and ethical dimensions of leadership. While the countries may celebrate Prayer Day on different dates, they share one similarity.
The opportunity for people from different religions to come together in solidarity and reflection.
