(The Post News) – Nkateko Mbhoma, a member of the provincial executive committee (PEC) of the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) in Limpopo, was shot and killed Tuesday morning. At the time of the event, he was on his way to Kimberley, Northern Cape, for the league’s National General Council (NGC).
The ANCYL confirmed Mbhoma’s death, stating that the shooting took place in Leeudoringstad, located outside Klerksdorp in the North West province. Mbhoma was described by the organization as a “committed young leader” whose death is a “devastating loss.”
The ANCYL has called on law enforcement agencies to urgently investigate the matter and bring those responsible to justice. The organisation extended its heartfelt condolences to Mbhoma’s family, friends, and colleagues.
