(The Post News)- Mason Greenwood, might start over now that Tuchel is in charge of England team. According to reports, he might also change countries and play for Jamaica in order to help the team to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
Mason Greenwood only has one cap for the England national team, which he earned in 2020. However, the striker is now optimistic about his chances of making a return after Thomas Tuchel was named Gareth Southgate’s permanent replacement. England will be coached by the former Chelsea manager until the 2026 World Cup.
According to ‘the Mirror,’ the 23-year-old is hoping that the Three Lions will give him a new start after the regime transition. He is awaiting discussions with the German international over a possible comeback as he hopes to play at the next World Cup.
Greenwood has already prepared a backup plan in case the Three Lions door does not open for him, but he is conscious of his poor prospects of making the cut. The ‘Mirror’ claims that the Marseille player will change allegiance and play for Jamaica.
“Now that he has been appointed, Mason wants to check with the FA and Tuchel to see what they think,” the same article states. He is committed to competing at the greatest level, which includes the World Cup. He will thus move to Jamaica and attempt to qualify for the 2026 World Cup that way if England rejects him.
