“We remain committed to our principled position in support of peace, stability, and security for the Palestinian people and for humanity as a whole,” Erdoğan affirmed.

Strengthening Bilateral Relations
Beyond the Palestinian issue, Erdoğan highlighted the growing partnership between Türkiye and South Africa. He pointed to recent high-level exchanges, including visits by South African leaders to Ankara, as evidence of deepening ties.
According to Mail & Guardian, Türkiye regards South Africa as its most important trading partner in sub-Saharan Africa. As well as a key source of investment.
South Africa’s primary exports to Türkiye include iron ore. It also exports reaction initiators. Meanwhile, it imports refined petroleum, machinery, and vehicles from Türkiye.
Erdoğan also emphasized his country’s support for the G20’s mission to deliver “positive outcomes for global economic and political stability.” He told journalists, “At this year’s summit, we reiterated that the principle of leaving no one behind is essential. It must guide the international community.”
The Turkish president emphasized how strong the relationship between the two countries has become. It has reached levels unimaginable 20 years ago. He credited joint efforts and shared values for this progress.
He emphasized the importance of dialogue. This dialogue is between the African National Congress (ANC) and Türkiye’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party). This dialogue has also contributed to stronger political understanding.
The partnership between Türkiye and South Africa is poised to grow. This growth is driven by shared commitments to justice. The countries also have mutual economic interests.
