Bill Clinton’s invitation to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell for the 2002 Moroccan royal wedding has sparked surprise among his aides.
Clinton’s Invitation T Jeffrey Epstein And Ghislaine Maxwell
The former president had previously built a rapport with Morocco’s King Mohammed VI, having attended his father’s funeral in 1999.
Clinton’s team viewed the request to bring Epstein and Maxwell as impolite, and it’s been a topic of discussion in Democratic circles for years.
One source described the invitation as “surprising, to say the least”.
JoD Epstein Files
The news comes as Clinton is distancing himself from Epstein amid the Justice Department’s release of Epstein’s files.
A second source claimed Clinton’s staff actively pushed to include Epstein and Maxwell on the guest list.
Clinton, Epstein, and Maxwell flew to Morocco on Epstein’s private jet, while Chelsea Clinton traveled separately.
The decision to bring Epstein and Maxwell has raised eyebrows, with one source asking, “Who does that?”
At the wedding, Clinton and Epstein sat with the king, according to sources.
The event was a private, high-society affair with around 250 guests.
Clinton’s association with Epstein has sparked concerns about his judgment.
Clinton’s office stated he ended ties with Epstein in 2005, before Epstein’s guilty plea.
Other former Epstein associates, including Trump and Gates, have downplayed or apologized for their connections.
