Partners in bringing change in the South African Correctional Services for women launch a twinning project at Sun City.
(The Post News)- Correctional Services collaborates with the FIFA Foundation and Kaizer Chiefs to empower female prisoners. On September 4, 2024, the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) and the FIFA Foundation, in collaboration with Kaizer Chiefs, will begin a twinning project at the Johannesburg Correctional Center (JCC) that will specifically target female inmates.
Through athletics and the development of life skills, the alliance aims to empower and rehabilitate female inmates. The Twinning Project is an innovative program designed to give female prisoners the tools they need to successfully reintegrate into society by leveraging the power of sports to promote social change.
This program aligns with Correctional Services’ mission, which places a strong focus on the rehabilitation and reintegration of offenders.
Fans of the Kaizer Chiefs have nothing to celebrate but the initiative, according to posts and comments made by network citizens on Facebook. The remarks follow the team’s repeated collapses from victories to defeats. They haven’t raised a priceless cup in nine years.
